How has technology changed over the years?

Technology has changed everything. Talking about cameras, it used to take four people to operate a camera. Now, with high definition, only one person is needed. The types of entertainment people seek have changed. There has been a huge change in cameras over time, High Definition has been introduced – (HD for short) is the new broadcast format of the future, delivering a much higher resolution. A standard TV commonly displays 625 lines, but with the new improved HD technology, HD picture will be much crisper and display a much more realistic picture. There is also now Blu-Ray – the Blu-ray Disc is a widely used optical disc standard for High Definition video and audio data, named after the short wavelength blue laser which is used to read and write. These new forms of technology are extremely good because it provides society with faster and more efficient methods for a variety of purposes, such as communication and research. Technology can provide growth and developments for the population, helping with things in our everyday lives.

Red One

The Red Digital Cinema Camera Company is an American manufacturer of digital cinematography tools. The company primarily produces digital cinema cameras but has also announced plans to produce a digital cinema projector and a movie distribution network. Red announced their first camera at NAB 2006, the Red One. It was released in 2007.

Many people think that The Red One Camera is extremely good for its price. There are other and better 4k and 6k cameras out there, but they cost 100's of thousands of pounds. The red does it for a lot less. That’s mainly just for the body of the camera. In the end you'll want to pro lenses which will cost you thousands, if not 100's of thousands for zoom lenses.
The first product they produced being The Red One did not achieve its goal by being the HD super camera it was made out to be, but it was an indication of what they expected to see from this company in the future.

The Advantages Of A Super 8 Camera

I believe that a Super-8 camera with several frames per second options, plus several film stocks to choose from, allows the film maker tremendous artistic choices. Shooting location special effects with a Digital Camera is basically unnecessary because the exact same digital effects can usually be created when editing digitally. However, a Super-8 camera offers different filming and shutter speed choices that actually create different effects that don't have the same look when created by a computer.

The disadvantages Of A Super 8 Camera

Working with Super 8 is not without its disadvantages, however. Perhaps the biggest drawback is sound recording. Super 8 sound film is nearly impossible to find these days, and Kodak no longer produces sound film.
Super 8 film is not readily available, and there is less film stock to choose from than 16mm, but the raw stock and processing are cheaper. The length of a shot is limited. There is no negative, so the original is the only copy, making it a most valued possession, particularly when considering submitting your work to a festival, which could mean parting with your lone copy. One way to work around that problem while retaining some of the original film quality is by making Super 8 blow ups to 16mm or 35mm.
